Gadar 2 box office collection Day 3

'Gadar 2' continues its triumphant run at the box office. Headlined by Sunny Deol, the film has shown impressive performance, especially on its third day. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film raked in a fantastic Rs 52 cr on Sunday, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. This marks its highest single-day collection after an opening of Rs 40 cr and Rs 43 cr on its second day.

Accumulating these figures, 'Gadar 2' boasts a weekend collection of Rs 135 cr. The Trade analysts predict that its Monday earnings will hold steady, and with Tuesday being Independence Day, a significant boost is expected. This will propel its total past Rs 200 cr effortlessly. For comparison, Shah Rukh Khan's mega-hit 'Pathaan,' released earlier this year, garnered around Rs 161 cr in its first three days, with Rs 68 cr netted on its second day, Republic Day. Its five-day extended weekend collection totaled Rs 271 cr.

Impressively, 'Gadar 2' managed to shine despite clashing with Akshay Kumar's 'OMG 2', which meant it had limited screen time in multiplexes. Yet, 'Gadar 2' has become the pinnacle of Sunny Deol's illustrious 40-year career. Debuting with 'Betaab' in 1983, his previous landmark was 'Gadar' in 2001. Commenting on the success of 'Gadar 2', Deol expressed his elation, noting the audience's unchanged love for the franchise despite the 22-year gap.

Given the overwhelming demand for 'Gadar 2', many theaters added additional shows, even post-midnight and early-morning ones. Reports suggest that the film's tremendous reception, even when sharing screens with 'OMG 2', has left moviegoers eager to watch it as soon as possible. This demand indicates the film's potential to set new records in the coming days.
